Tink is Two and A Half Years Old!

After two years of chronicling every month of her life, I'm back with my first 6 month update on Tink.  She's two and a half and she's a barrel of fun.

At first I thought I would do something similar to the second year format where I would type out a list of what's current in her life.  I thought maybe I'd interview her.  Then I got the brilliant idea to interview her ON CAMERA.  So, here she is folks.  Enjoy.  (I don't believe this works on mobile devices.  Sorry friends!)

It wouldn't be an update post without recapping some of the runners-up from my little photo session with her in our living room during her brother's nap.  Let's take a look.

I love the twinkle in her eye as she is so focused on the camera yet everything around her (specifically her Rosie doll which goes everywhere with her) is a blur.  That, and the photo below depict the life of this two and a half year old perfectly.  Always moving.  Always go-go-going.  Yet also so very focused.

She has this (terrible) Doctor kit that we bought her for her birthday (Santa is bringing a better one).  One of the tools is this dentist-like mirror. (Why?).  She LOVES playing doctor and I love the look on her face as she examines me to figure out what I'm ailing from.  Usually I just need a shot and then I'm right as rain.  The shots don't hurt if I "close my eyes and think of something happy."  (Thanks, Daniel Tiger).

It wouldn't be right to ignore her Mumma side in this recap.  Here she is changing bear's diaper.  She is constantly taking care of all her babies.  She tells me she's a good mumma because she keeps them safe and warm.

I don't think I have to explain why I love this one.

As you saw, I filmed her interview.  I had my camera on a tripod.  Well. she was OBSESSED with it and kept spinning it around.  I love this shot because of the silly joy in her face.  She's so goofy.  I love that she's such a goofball.

And this last one... as soon as I saw it I knew I had seen something similar before.  I checked through my old phone pictures and lo and behold, there she was making the same face, arms above her head, and... brunette.  She was only about a month or so old.

How quickly time flies.

Hope you enjoyed our little update.  These monthly memories are so fun for me!  Plus, it forces this photographer Mum to actually photograph her children.  Sure, I take silly phone pictures all the time, but I almost never break out my good camera.  For shame. Here's hoping you find Tinkerbell so you can discover the secret to happiness!-Kerry:)p.s. she can count all the way to 13 (though she always skips 4 for some reason) so I don't know what on earth she was doing in the video!
